Last Updated: May 19, 2026
Task Force Payments ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you visit www.taskforcepayments.com.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us through our contact forms, referral submissions, or quote requests. This may include:
- Identifiers: Name, email address, phone number, and business name.
- Professional Information: Details regarding your merchant service needs or referral information.
We do not collect browsing history, IP addresses for tracking purposes, or information about your network activity.
In addition to website forms, our point-of-sale application (TFPtap) may collect contact information (email address, phone number) that you provide to a participating merchant at the time of purchase. This information is used solely to deliver a transactional receipt as described in Section 7.
2. How We Use Your Information
The information you provide is used strictly to:
- Respond to your inquiries or quote requests.
- Process referrals submitted through our website.
- Provide personalized merchant service consultations.
3. Disclosure of Your Information
- No Sale or Sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
- Service Providers: We may share information with trusted infrastructure partners solely to facilitate the services you have requested. This includes our payment processing partner (NMI), our email delivery provider (SendGrid), and our SMS delivery provider (Twilio). These partners are bound by contract to use your information only for the purpose of delivering the requested service.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.
4. CalOPPA Compliance
- Do Not Track (DNT): Because we do not track our users over time and across third-party websites to provide targeted advertising, we do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
- Third-Party Tracking: We do not allow third-party ad networks to collect data from users on our site.
5. CCPA/CPRA Rights (California Residents)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights regarding your data:
- Right to Know: You can request to know what personal data we have collected about you.
- Right to Delete: You can request that we delete the personal information we have collected.
- Right to Opt-Out: While we do not sell or share your data, you maintain the right to ensure your data is not used for cross-contextual behavioral advertising.
- Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise these rights, please contact us at 510-408-6695 or via our Contact Page.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect the personal information submitted to us. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. SMS / Text Message Communications
When you make a purchase at a business that uses Task Force Payments to accept payments, the business may offer to send your receipt by text message. If you choose to receive an SMS receipt, the following terms apply. For the full SMS program terms, see our SMS Program Terms & Conditions.
What we send. SMS messages from Task Force Payments are limited to transactional receipts and confirmations directly tied to a purchase you made at a participating merchant. We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising messages by SMS.
How you consent. You consent to receive an SMS receipt by providing your phone number to the merchant at the point of sale and asking for or accepting an offer of a text receipt. Consent is one-time and on a per-transaction basis. You are never required to receive a text message to complete a purchase.
Frequency. Messages are sent only when triggered by a transaction or your direct request (such as a resend). You will typically receive one message per purchase. We do not send recurring or scheduled messages.
Standard rates apply. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and mobile plan. Task Force Payments does not charge any fee for sending SMS receipts.
Opt out. You can opt out of receiving SMS messages from Task Force Payments at any time by replying STOP, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, or END to any message we send. Once you opt out, we will send a final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent to your number.
Help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at 510-408-6695.
Privacy of mobile information. Mobile phone numbers and any consent information collected to send SMS receipts will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or transfer mobile data to outside parties. The only third parties who process your number are our SMS infrastructure provider (Twilio) and the carriers who deliver the message, and only for the purpose of delivering the specific receipt you requested.
Data retention. Phone numbers used for SMS receipts are retained only as long as needed to complete the transaction and any related customer service follow-up. Receipt history is stored with the merchant who served you, not with Task Force Payments, and is governed by that merchant's own data practices.
Delivery issues. SMS delivery depends on carrier networks and is not guaranteed. If you do not receive an expected receipt, ask the merchant to resend it or to send by email instead.
