SMS Policy
Last Updated: May 19, 2026
Program name: Task Force Payments Receipt Notifications
Program operator: Task Force Payments
By providing your mobile phone number to a participating merchant and requesting an SMS receipt, you agree to these terms.
Program description
Task Force Payments operates a transactional SMS program that delivers electronic receipts to customers of merchants using the TFPtap point-of-sale application. The only messages sent under this program are receipts and direct receipt-related confirmations from purchases you have made.
Identity of the sender
Messages will identify Task Force Payments and the merchant that processed your transaction. Replies to the originating number are monitored for opt-out, help, and basic service responses; replies are not used for customer service conversations.
Frequency
This is a transactional, on-demand program. You will typically receive one message per purchase for which you request a text receipt. There is no recurring schedule, no marketing cadence, and no autoresponder series.
Carrier costs
Message and data rates may apply, based on your wireless plan and carrier. Task Force Payments charges no fee for sending SMS receipts. T-Mobile and other carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
How to opt out
You can opt out of the program at any time by replying with any of the following keywords to any message we send:
- STOP
- CANCEL
- UNSUBSCRIBE
- QUIT
- END
After you opt out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent to that number under this program. To opt back in, request a text receipt from a participating merchant on a future purchase.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message we send for assistance, or contact Task Force Payments customer support at 510-408-6695. We are available during normal U.S. business hours, Monday through Friday.
Mobile information privacy
Mobile phone numbers and consent information collected under this program will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent, or transfer mobile data to outside parties. The only third parties who process your phone number are our SMS infrastructure provider (Twilio) and the wireless carriers that deliver the message, and only for the purpose of delivering the specific receipt you requested. For complete information on how Task Force Payments handles personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
Delivery limitations
SMS delivery is dependent on the recipient's carrier network and device. Task Force Payments and its delivery partners are not responsible for messages delayed, dropped, or undelivered by carriers, device-side filtering, or recipient handset issues. If you do not receive an expected receipt, ask the merchant to resend it or to send by email instead.
Eligible devices
Messages are delivered to mobile devices on the major U.S. carriers (AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, US Cellular) and their associated MVNOs. International numbers are not supported under this program.
Changes to these terms
Task Force Payments may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of the SMS program after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
